Hello fellow PT hopefuls. For those of you that had to relocate to go to PT school, I am wondering what your yearly budget looks like. I am trying to get an idea of what amount of loans I need to take out and of course would like to take out the minimum possible. It would be especially helpful if students in the California area can share their budget, but all students insights are welcomed.

Thanks a lot guys.

I went to school in Pittsburgh so my costs will probably differ from yours... Basically, I had approximately $800-950 in bills monthly that my significant other footed most of the bill for (what a huge help!) and I had a weekly "allowance" I gave myself from my savings account of $150 for groceries, gas, etc.

I'm from texas so our PT tuition is prob the cheapest in the entire nation. each semester(9 in total) is roughly 2,500-3,800 so by the end of it it would be 27-28k for all three years. i live on a budget but at the same time i don't want to worry about my bills being paid so i budget 800-1000 for living expenses(food, rent, bills, gas). i don't plan on draining my savings account completely so ill end up with 45-55k loan debt for pt school
