hey everyone!! im sort of curious where everyone is at with their lives and school and what not so i made a thread so we can all share.. lol..im taking a break from DAT studying so this sounded like an amazing idea..😀

Well, I'm also a junior now majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (it's one major) and taking my DAT at the end of August. Literally my heart is pumping so fast just thinking about the day I take it...god knows how I'll be feeling during the day of the test...o man.

nice thats a solid list. i live in CT so uconn, BU, tufts, rutgers, NYU, UB, some in california, Baylor, and a few more on the east coast. but like you, once i see my final grades and scores..i might change it.

Yeah, right now all I have left to worry about is this exam . . . GPA, LOR, etc. all on point right now so hopefully I'll be having a relaxing junior and senior year. *crosses fingers*

Gonna be a senior in undergrad this coming year (can't believe how fast the time flew by)! I just retook my DAT for the second and last time this past July 19th and submitted my AADSAS on the 8th. Really would love to get into The Ohio State College of Dentistry, as I'm an Ohio resident. I love the school (go Buckeyes!) and know they have a really phenomenal program - all the dentists I shadowed went there. Columbus is also right in the center of Ohio between my undergrad college, home, and girlfriend's house.

Really excited to go to dental school, just waiting to hear back from schools right now! Applied to OSU, Case, Louisville, LSU, University of Tennessee, Marquette, MWU-AZ.

I know how it goes with the DAT breaks. Much more fun scrolling through the forums. I did that and hoped my score would magically go up by itself, but alas, I still had to study lol.

Best of luck on your tests and the rest of undergrad, future dental school 😀

Ever since my application has been completed in its entirety I have become a SDN addict. Constantly seeing what schools have sent out interviews and the like. Im going into my junior year at BYU and I am studying Environmental Science. I didn't want to be the typical biology major, plus i'm interested in saving the environment when I am not focused on dentistry. I have done school year round and studying for the DAT during school is no easy task and it is no fun. It literally destroyed my social life but soooo worth it. I don't have to take that cursed test again which is always a bonus. One thing that makes me different is that I LOVE to scuba dive. Im actually going through training to be a rescue scuba diver. Ive applied to 13 schools most of which are on the west coast. I just love the west coast too much to leave.

I'll be a junior and I'm taking my DAT in December, too! December 17, in fact. I'm freaking out and I've still got what seems like forever before I take it.

I go to U. of Tennessee and am majoring in Chemistry. I plan on applying to UTHSC, Louisville, Ohio State, VCU, and LECOM.

Helloo, I just graduated U of Illinois in Bio and I'm planning on taking the DAT sometime late october. I'm studying about 10 hours a day, aiming for a really high DAT since my GPA is super low.

I know for sure I'm applying to the illinois dental schools but not sure at all if i'd go any place out of state and where I'd possibly go.

What a great thread. 🙂 I think it's awesome to get to know each other better (since most of us encounter or see each other on an almost daily basis).

I recently graduated with a BS in biochemistry (and a minor in Korean - yay!). I already took my DAT in early June (and posted a breakdown which can be found in Glimmer1991's Ultimate Collection). Since I've been in school straight up for 6 years (no 3 month summer breaks starting from sophomore year of high school), I wanted to take the summer to soak in the freedom and roll around in the grass. So I've pretty much been chillin' in my studio apartment catching up on hobbies and whatnots. I try to avoid SDN because if I see others getting interviews at the school I apply to, I start to get really really nervous.

It seems that everyone in this thread is going to take their DAT. Since I have pretty much nothing to do, feel free to PM me with any questions! Good luck to everyone!
