I did a masters before the psy.d. I presented one poster and did a masters thesis that I didnt publish. If I had to guess I would say the average in my program is to have one or two presentations or pubs.

i took a year off, but i was not a research assistant. i was not published and was not (as i am not now) particularly interested in conducting research. i guess i had presented in undergrad. and my UG degree was a BS. but really, i didnt have much in the way of research experience...
