That would have more to do with the Body Worlds Exhibit. A school that uses plastinations for anatomy is likely to verify the source of their donors.
How is this any different from knowing the source of your dissection cadaver?
well the cadavers at our school are from donation. they aren't executed prisoners...
mine too. and our platinated specimens are the same.
I think you're trying to lump two things together when they shouldn't be.
Was there any evidence that the man who made body worlds (who's cadaver source is questionable) is was supplying specimens for US medical school education?
Or the news network is just looking for a story where there isn't one. I doubt even those from body worlds has anything to do with this crap. From the article, I got the impression that many manufactures of plastinations have questionable cadaver sources. While this certainly doesn't say that all or even any of the med/dental schools in the US use plastinations from those sources, it does raise the question.

I thought that the specimens for Body Worlds (the original one and II) were done properly, but Bodies: The Exhibition was the one that had the ethical considerations since they were procured from people executed in the Chinese prisons, which is why I went to Body Worlds II, but refused to go to Bodies: The Exhibition when it was in town.
EDIT: This is all based on what I had heard and read, so my opinions are all based on the quality of what I had seen/heard.
Unrelated to the topic, but Depakote, your SDN name helped me remember VPA for my psych exam. 😛

I went to Bodies and got the feeling that I was in a carnival freak show. Low lights, separate rooms - the layout and design of the exhibition was fairly sensationalistic. I don't know if Body Worlds is the same.
Anyone get the same reaction?
