for those that go to RF/CMS what textbooks do I absolutely need? and what text books can I do without? also what is the best anatomy atlas that you'd recommend?

I am an M2 at finch. The best atlas is Netters, and although the library has copies I would recommend getting one for your self. Also need BRS physiology, and Haines atlas for neuroscience. Again the library has copies of the books but you should have copies of these for yourself.

You might also want to bring your undergrad scicence text books. I personally did not have to pay a fortune for some of the required texts (biochem, neuroscience, molecular cell. bio.). Definitely, get the atlas for anatomy and neuroscience. Rohen is the best one for anatomy due to its realistic photos (Netter is good as well but the pictures are cartoons), Haines is the best for neuroscience. Good luck.

i heard that RF/CMS is under academic probation?? is it true or rumor?? i also read something about it on this forum..is it true?? can someone that is current at CMS clarify it??? thks..

It is true. Go to the web page for an explanation. It isnt a big deal unless the lose their accreditation. Bascially, as it was told to us everything will be fine. There has been a ton of turnover at the level of dept heads and we got a new school pres and a new med school dean. I will give more details if you PM me. there is a lot more to add but I dont want to bore everyone.
