I am filling out my applications for DPT program at ECU. We have to fill out both DPT application and Graduate school application.
My question is that are there any essays required to write for the application except for the statement of purpose?

Please let me know,

Thanks!

Nope. The statement of purpose is the only "essay". There are some short answer questions on the DPT application. I don't remember if there were any on the Graduate School application but other than that one essay you should be good!! All of my materials were submitted and complete on October 12. I hope to be hearing SOMETHING back soon!!! haha I am so anxious to hear back!! Best of luck!!!

Thank you for your reply,

1) So the essay we write, do send them electronically or do we mail them the hard copy?

2) Do we send the DPT program application electronically or mail them the hard copy? Because I thought we could only submit the graduate school application electronically.

3) What about reference forms do we email to the PTs and professor or do we give them hard copy of the reference form?

4) When they are complete the reference forms, do they send it directly to the school or do we have to send them? and where (grad school or dpt program)?

Sorry to bother you, but these are the questions that I do not know the answer of. Since you have already submitted the application, I thought it would be better to ask you. (I have been calling ECU since last 2 days but no one is answering.)

1) Either way is fine. I did mine hard-copy.

2) Either way is fine. I did mine hard-copy.

3) and 4) After you have filled out the online ECU app, you can enter the names and emails of 3 persons to be your references. They will receive an automated email with a link, and they can write their letter of recommendation by clicking on that link.

I have found that email is the key to communicating with them. They are really quick to respond to emails. For your questions. I submitted EVERYTHING through email and that was all accepted. However, I kept in contact with them to make sure that everything was being received and that I didn't need to resubmit anything with a hard copy. I did mail my transcript which took over a month for them to get (apparently they do not organize their transcripts by department and it took them forever to get to mine which is why my application was submitted so late. I actually finished at the end of September). I can not remember how I did the reference forms but I am pretty sure that there was a place for it on the Graduate school application where you could fill out the information about your references. I then emailed the people I was asking to do these recommendations and told them to be on the look out for the email. Make sure you do that because the email went to spam for some of them. It was kind of frustrating but in the end it worked out okay!! If you have any more questions please fill free to ask. I will to my best to answer them. Also, if you want to PM me I will send you the email of the lady I have been in contact with!!

Keep me posted!!
