For those who have externed at UNC Chapel Hill OMFS

Hi, wondering where you guys stayed when you externed at UNC CH? I found this place called "How Suite it is" and some of the suites they got seemed to be fine. But even then I am looking at ~$70/day for 2 weeks.
Airfare is another $500, and not sure if I need to rent a car (~$600-700 for two weeks, worth it?).
I am already looking at $2500+... sounds kinda expensive....

How did you guys do it? Just take the hit? Any advices would be great!

I did AirBnB. again ~$60-70/d but <10 min walk, I used Uber to get to and from the airport, did not rent a car.

I found a nice Airbnb in Durham for 30 bucks/day and rented a car for 12 bucks/day on priceline (bid on price). It ended up being really cheap and was my favorite Externship

Man, you win! Now I only need to find a room for 42 bucks or less in CH to beat your record 🙂

I was able to find a great place for cheap on Air BnB, 15 min walk from the OMFS clinic and hospitals. It looked like a cult commune off the website, but I didn't have to interact with anyone (keycode ftw) and I escaped with my soul intact.
