I TOOK THE TOPSCORER EXAM, AND THE TFE AND FOLDING KILLED MY SCORE FOR PAT, esp the tfe, i use the lines counting method, but it works like for 2 to 3 questions, i cant visuals i really tried no hope, any other tricks please help exam sat

Do u know an engineer? They have to do drafting and this is the type of stuff they have to draw and decipher on a daily basis. I had one explain to me and now its soo easy. Most of it is visualization (like imagine ur in a helicopter looking down--top view, etc.)
I suck at explaining things so....
someone on here was explaining this, i think the thread was "my super PAT tutorial" or something of the sort. I'd look for it 4 u but my eyes are closing (haven't slep at all in 2 days!).
Juss search the threads, someone on here has a helpful tutorial thingy.

I just think that line counting method is the way to do it. If you can go to your local bookstore and look for Barron's Dental guide, and just read PAT technique it would help you a lot. I usually do elimination by checking the XYZ lines. Top has the X and Z, Front has the Y and X, End has the Y and Z. Don't forget about the dash and straight lines coz this helps me predict wheter this showing or hidden. There's always 2 of the pictures that does not makes sense. If not try drawing the pictures in 3-D. If you have crack Pat just kill all those TFE problems right now and eventually you'll get it. Sorry I don't have a drawing pad (i wish i do) else I'll be drawing already. Goodluck 🙂

I would try and get used to visualizing the final product for TFE. On the real exam from what I remember, only about 1/3 of the problems were candidates for using this method. The thing with the real exam is that there are usually atleast 1 or 2 answers that you can cancel out right away unlike TS and Acheiver which has so many close answers.

The line counting method does help eliminate some answer choices, but sometimes the only way to get the correct answer is to visualize the object. It might take a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
