I took the Kaplan class and the June PCAT.
My overall scores for the Kaplan tests.
Diagnostic:437
Midterm: 437 (I got bored, tired, and had stomach issues so I gave up on it lol)
Final: 451
A few thoughts on the Kaplan class and the scores... You are ranged against your class according to my teacher, so it's not like they put you up against a large database or something like that. My class was only ~12 people. Two ways you can interpret those scores.
1. You just did better than a bunch of people who paid >$1000 for a stupid PCAT class, surely you can do better than the normal PCAT test takesr.
2. Your class is ******ed and you're the smartest kid in the special ED class.
I don't know which was my case lol.
I took both of the pearson practice exams. I thought they were, for the most part, a lot easier than the Kaplan stuff, but that's a different story for a different thread.
To confirm, yeah, the pearson practice exams rank you in ranges of 1/5 or 20%.
Both exams I got put in the 80-100 section.
I also felt the same way after taking the June PCAT, my first one. Feels like I did bad. Kinda the same feeling after taking the SAT (which I did good on) and after taking my AP tests (which I passed 4/5, 1 I didn't study for hah). But I think almost everyone felt that way. No one I have talked to has actually felt good about it.
I'm thinking we are too hard on ourselves. Obviously we all studied quite a bit, more than most test takers. If we are on a forum about the PCAT we probably care about it a lot (nerds!). I end up talking with a lot of pharmacists cause the pharmacy I work at tends to get a lot of floaters or substitute pharmacists, and they always tell me I should end up with a good score.
Even after all that though, you still worry... Damn Pearson takes for ever to score bah. Well back to studying for the August PCAT incase I need to take it again -,-.
Only ~4 more weeks until scores 🙁
