... how well did your diagnostic/midterm/final scores line up with how well you did on the real PCAT?

I did the Kaplan course and scored high on all 3 exams. I took the PCAT in June and am biting my fingernails waiting for my scores!! X.x

I took the class and took the exam for the first time in june. I got roughly 440 on all the kaplan exams. I'm sort of anticipating having bombed the real exam, though. I felt like every section was harder except for chem

I did okay on the last 2 Kaplan exams and improved my score with each one overall. The diagnostic was embarassing.:

Diagnostic: 379 (63%) (reading comp killed me, couldn't finish)
Midterm: 452 (75%)
Final: 492 (83%)

Actual PCAT:
Overall, I feel that I bombed it. I probably did fine on the Verbal and Reading Comp sections. Chem was fine other than I ran out of time and had to guess on several at the end, which will likely cost me some points. Quant was an absolute nightmare. Bio was bad, too.

Kaplan did well in preparing me for Verbal, Reading Comp, Writing Sample, and Chem. Bio and quant for Kaplan needs some updating, as I did not feel adequately prepared for those sections on test day. Perhaps it was my mistake for putting so much faith in Kaplans, but at least I studied my behind off.

Just FYI:
I also took both Pearson practice exams and did extremely well. Scoring an 89 and a 91, respectively.

The waiting continues...

I thought I bombed every single Kaplan test but did well, so I am not a good self-judge of how I take tests like this lol >.<

I also thought that chem was easier than the Kaplan tests, and the RC passages read a lot easier to me too. But yeah .... quant always = nightmare for me, and the others were rougher than I was expecting too.

Oh well ... 2 weeks down, 4 to go!! :scared:

I took the Kaplan class and the June PCAT.
My overall scores for the Kaplan tests.
Diagnostic:437
Midterm: 437 (I got bored, tired, and had stomach issues so I gave up on it lol)
Final: 451

A few thoughts on the Kaplan class and the scores... You are ranged against your class according to my teacher, so it's not like they put you up against a large database or something like that. My class was only ~12 people. Two ways you can interpret those scores.
1. You just did better than a bunch of people who paid >$1000 for a stupid PCAT class, surely you can do better than the normal PCAT test takesr.
2. Your class is ******ed and you're the smartest kid in the special ED class.
I don't know which was my case lol.

I took both of the pearson practice exams. I thought they were, for the most part, a lot easier than the Kaplan stuff, but that's a different story for a different thread.
To confirm, yeah, the pearson practice exams rank you in ranges of 1/5 or 20%.
Both exams I got put in the 80-100 section.

I also felt the same way after taking the June PCAT, my first one. Feels like I did bad. Kinda the same feeling after taking the SAT (which I did good on) and after taking my AP tests (which I passed 4/5, 1 I didn't study for hah). But I think almost everyone felt that way. No one I have talked to has actually felt good about it.

I'm thinking we are too hard on ourselves. Obviously we all studied quite a bit, more than most test takers. If we are on a forum about the PCAT we probably care about it a lot (nerds!). I end up talking with a lot of pharmacists cause the pharmacy I work at tends to get a lot of floaters or substitute pharmacists, and they always tell me I should end up with a good score.

Even after all that though, you still worry... Damn Pearson takes for ever to score bah. Well back to studying for the August PCAT incase I need to take it again -,-.

Only ~4 more weeks until scores 🙁

Which test is this? I took both of the Pearson practice exams at this website: pcatweb.info

My score reports did not give me a single number as a score. Instead it gave me a 20 point percentile range for my composite score and on each subtest. Where did you take a Pearson test that gave you an exact score? How much did it cost?

No, no. My mistake. I had figured my raw percentage score (# correct/200 total) and had written it down on a list of my scores for my own reference. It is what I glanced at when writing that post. I received the same kind of percentile range score report from Pearson as everyone else. Sorry for the confusion, folks.
