anyone that interviewed at USC, could u tell me which faculty member you interviewed with? also, do u interview with only committee members or with students too? itd be a big help. thanks

I just interviewed there last Tuesday. My faculty interviewer was Dr. Kjos and she was so laid back and so fun to talk to, we actually went over by about 15 min (and it was an hour interview). There is also a student interview, but I was told that those students aren't even on the committee, they just fill out a form that is added to your file. BTW, the lunch they give you is amazing. I agree, I interviewed with Dr. Chandor, and it was one of the best interviews I've had. My student interviewer (4th year) was also very nice. Ditto about the lunch, too.

how do you go about finding who your faculty interviewer is before hand?

I read the interview feedbacks for keck and someone mentioned- they knew who it was before hand.

Will the admissions office tell you if you call?

you find out a few days beforehand by checking your status page and going to some link there.

I had an interview with an alumni near my house, Dr. Loo. It was the best interview I've had, very relaxed and conversational. Towards the end, he did all of the talking and gave me some advice about the whole med school application process. The student interview is just to make sure you're normal.
Keep in mind, only ~500 people are interviewed and, eventually, accept about 2/3 of those. So, if you've got an interview, you're in a great position!

I have, and I'm pretty sure pocwana has too. I interviewed the very first day (10/15) and my letter is postmarked 12/5 - I actually heard after people who interviewed a little later than I did, so I think they are doing this is batches rather than a strict order.

i was accepted yeah!. interviewed day after rapid decomposition, 10/16 and envelope postmarked 11/27. i was very surprised to hear this soon. i had heard they were non-rolling and didn't tell anyone until everyone was interviewed.

The reason I am asking is that my interview is tomorrow (Wed 3/26) and there is nothing on my "Interview Procedures" site that says anything about my interviewer. The off-campus faculty interview was on the same day as the scheduled interview, right? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! =)

at the very top of my status page, it says:

This is to confirm that arrangements have been made for you to be interviewed by the following individual on:

10/16/2002 at 2:30pm with:

Ronald Loo, M.D.
INFO
ADDRESS
PHONE NUMBER

the status check is at https://keck-admit.hsc.usc.edu/ (but i see that you have that already)


The interview is the same day as the scheduled interview with the student and tour on campus. if it's not there today, call USC and ask them for your interviewers info because you have to call him/her and confirm. good luck to you.
