So I will be graduating in December with my bachelors in molecular biology. I will have about 9 months in between graduating and dental school (hopefully!!)...I was wondering for those who are in the same position what are you going to be doing with the time off? Volunteering still? working? sleeping?

I'm also in a similar situation, graduating with a degree in Chemistry in December. I'll be continuing my work in the lab I'm in, take a couple of classes as well as tutoring!

I'm graduating this November.

I'll be taking one class per semester to finish out the prerequisites for dental school while working to save up money.

I completed my post-bacc program in December 2012. Since then, I've been studying for the DAT and working part time. Now, I have a full time job. While my work is 100% non-dental related (I work at a law firm!), I hope to find dental or at least health-care related community service and do that for the next year while I apply.

I new that in my "gap year" I would have to work. There's no way I could do nothing to support myself. I'd go crazy sitting at home and just waiting for replies from schools.

Working my butt off to finish paying off loans and save up for dental school 👍

Continue with the volunteering activity Im already doing and I plan to start working. I also plan to travel more and do whatever else I wasnt able to do b/c of time restraints due to school.

I graduated in June and have a summer job till Labor Day. Then I wanna take EMT-B classes and do EMT for a year. Any advice anyone has for me I'm all ears.

Look for a course that meets frequently. You can get the cert in less than a month, but mine took 3 months because the class only met 1 day a week. Also- start volunteering with a squad before you take the course so they'll pay for it. It can be pricey if its out of pocket.

Postbac for fall, then hopefully pay off my loans and travel.

I'm graduating in Dec as well, I'm planning on working and teaching myself biochem and human physiology if I get accepted to dental school. If not well, I might get a one year, no thesis master in biomedical science then apply again.

Graduated this past May. Working full time as a paid intern/assistant for an oral surgeon. Try to find an assisting job somewhere in the dental field. D-schools like applicants with experience interacting with patients and/or using instruments.

For those of you graduating in december, are you graduatig early or one semester late?
