I am starting this thread in hope of getting a spot at the UIC campus this coming fall. I was assigned to the UPR track and I badly BADLY want to go to Chicago. If there is anyone that has a spot at Chicago and somewhere else, please let me know if you decide to go elsewhere. I believe there is a process where two students can exchange spots. PLEASE! I hate to sound like such a little hoe but Chicago is my number one choice where I can continue research. I will be willing to pay......I hope this isn't illegal. Anyway, I will damn it!! Really? How come there are online forms where two students can switch spots. Maybe that's only from one campus to another within U of I. Hmmm.......I'll find out. Thanks for the post though!

That form must be for the UPR track. You can switch all you want between Peoria and Rockford. Chicago is a diff story.

Should I attempt to switch to Peoria if I'm not inclined towards family medicine at all? I heard something about Peoria being well known in IL for their surgical department....I don't know how true that is. Peoria doesn't emphasize family medicine as much do they?

I think you can go into whatever you want no matter where you end up.
