ok I am getting nervous a little bit here! Why apartment rents are so high around uop? 1800 and up for just a studio?!! Where should I find a decent place to live for 3 years?! I started with the info (addresses and links) that uop gave me on the interview day but half of them are far away from school and the other half are too expensive! Please tell me where to begin.
Thanks

That is way too high.

SF right now is having inflation in their rental market. It is especially bad in 1 bedroom setups. A family member currently rents in SF pays just $100 more for a 2 bedroom vs the 1 bedroom in the same building, same view, same remodel, etc. The 1 bedroom is just excessive in price because there is a huge demand and low supply city wide. Pac Heights, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, and Marina are tough. You will find lots of rooms available in Marina houses available if you're open to sharing the house with randoms. It's a quick ride up the 22 bus also.

Can you find someone to share with? Or you'll just have to keep looking. Do not spend that much money.

It's tough!
Thank u I'll keep that in mind

This is the reason why I turned down UoP. I went to visit in the middle of December and I was not able to find a price for my family and I to live. The prices for rentals were way too high and the living space was crazy. Good luck on finding something.
