Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone could guide me on the process that is required to get my DPT in US with having Bach of PT from india. I was told that I get can lic by filling 40 non-prof credits as I meet the prof. credit for PT but I am only interested in getting DPT to gain knowledge of the education here and the rotation program. Does anyone have info regarding this topic?

thanks

It is best to submit an inquiry to a DPT program that offers a transitional degree (t-DPT) in the area you are looking to stay in the US.

There are many programs but The University of St. Augustine is one you can look at: http://www.usa.edu/admissions.aspx

I believe the major difference between a bachelors/masters to a doctorate of physical therapy is differential diagnosis; which I think a t-DPT will help cover that entity.

Again, I think it would be better if you contact the program directly and have them look at your credentials. Hope this helps. Good luck.
