So I'm a 4th year (of 6) student studying outside the US. I'm planning to sit Step 1 around November 2015 and I want to do some Phloston-esque demolition of the exam (figure I may as well be ambitious).
I do well within my class, and I've done one decent pass of FA over the course of this year. A few weeks ago I did the free 138 and got 85%.
I guess what I'm asking for is some recommendations for a longer-term plan than the usual intensive period US students do - although I will give myself a month or so to go hard at the end. Although obviously retaining material studied so far before the exam is an issue, I've been using anki a lot for classwork and FA and it's working well, so that should mitigate against simple forgetting.
