Hello Dr. Sadoun,

I can tell you one thing the US sure is not a bed of roses for foreign trained dentists like us. Be ready for some dissapointments and long waits. Now I cannot speak for everyone ,for there are those who have come into the US and everything has worked out real quick. For one thing the costs for DDS is astronomical. Make sure you have a co-signer for a bank loan, but if you have the money for DDS then thats great. GPR programs are good too (the NBDE scores are not a pre-requisite) but many schools prefer their own students, green card holders and citizens. But then there are foreigners doing GPR programs. I would advise you to go directly to websites of dental schools and check on the GPR programs and their application deadlines & eligibility criteria.
You could also see if you are eligible for the minnesota bench exams once you finish the NBDE Part 1 & 2. Check previous posts on bench exams

In the end is a DDS worth the wait and money, absolutely. Especially if you intend to settle down in the US.
