Alright guys,
I want to educate myself more on this topic and mostly on how a tooth loss is considered when we are talking about percentage of damage to the body.
Any direction is appreciated, dental school did surprisingly nothing for this matter.

Go to www.abfo.org. I hope this will be of help. It's the American Board of Forensic Odontology. Google Forensic Dentistry and there's a wealth of information there. I know they do a lot of Forensic Dentistry at Dover AFB in Delaware. I believe a lot of fallen military soldiers are sent there and identification, etc., takes place. If I find any other information, I will pass if along to you. Years ago I had an interest in this area of dentistry, too. I'm sure more dentists are needed.
Between dental school and my GPR I've had 3 forensic dentists give lectures. What was shocking the first time was that the majority of their job is identifying child abuse bite marks on both living and deceased pediatric victims.
Other than 9/11 all 3 of them described it as depressing...unless you're actually Dexter Morgan from showtime hit "Dexter"...you may want to tread lightly

I'd imagine so. It's already quite difficult looking at teeth in living human beings. I don't think I can stand looking at teeth in decaying, gruesome cadaver heads.

Oh, yes!!! I heard this years ago when I called to talk to a Forensic Dentist at a government agency. I changed my mind very quickly, lol. Every specialty in the field of dentistry takes a certain type of person to perform procedures and work with certain populations. Best wishes as you continue to pursue.
