Hi everyone, I recently just joined SDN and I was wondering can anyone tell me exactly want a forensic nurse does? And if anyone is or knows a forensic nurse do they enjoy their work?

In most places, it involves collecting evidence for rape kits mostly. Not the exciting specialty you were expecting I imagine......

i just listened to a four hour presentation from a forensic nurse.. and 3.5 hours of it was about rape kits, the other half hour, they very rarely work with medical examiners/police and go to crime scenes, but she emphasized they are only concerned with the body. it was a boring 4 hours.
