Did you already check to see how many of your AMCAS schools have a Secondary prompt you could use to add the missing information?I'm panicking because I'm a reapplicant who completely botched my application, and didn't include the entire blurb for one of my meaningful activities. I added two of my meaningful activities correctly, but I accidentally did not paste the text correctly for the last activity I inputted. I have no idea how I missed it, and I absolutely hate myself for doing this to an application that I tried so hard to make perfect. I understand, though, that I can't change what happened so I'm moving on to figuring out what I can do moving forward. Part of me is thinking I should just withdraw my entire application this cycle, but I wanted to get an expert's opinion first. From what I understand, I could either withdraw my application this cycle or attempt to notify schools of my mistake. I was thinking of emailing them with something along these lines:
"Thank you for extending a secondary application for your upcoming 2019-2020 cycle for medical school admissions, I am extremely excited to correspond further with you about the opportunity to be a part of your matriculating class of 2020. It has come to my attention that I did not submit my activities properly for AMCAS, and that I have one meaningful activity description missing. I understand that this is an error on my part, but I wanted to reach out with the correct description for my emergency scribe meaningful activity if you would be willing to consider it as a part of my application. I have attached my missing meaningful experience down below. I sincerely hope you would be willing to take this part of my application into consideration as well, thank you for taking the time to read this request."
Besides constantly kicking myself mentally for the next year, what would you suggest I do to make the best of this situation? Should I withdraw this cycle given that I already have a relatively low chance of getting an MD school anyway? (3.53c/3.4s/513 MCAT with a C in one lower div class and a C in one upper div bio class). I'll be finishing my DO application later this month. Thanks in advance for reading all of this nonsense...
Did you include the 700 character activity description and only omit the additional 1325 character MM essay? Or is the entire ED Scribing activity missing?
Do you have other active clinical experience? How many hours?
