Forgot to sign transcript request form
Started by Redpancreas
I thought your registrar was supposed to sign it. I could be wrong though
I sent mine in a couple weeks ago and now that I think about it I didnt sign anything either... is this crucial? where do you go on AMCAS to see if they have gotten your transcript/you're good to go?
I'm pretty sure the signature is for your school's benefit not AMCAS's
Hi!
I forgot to sign my transcript request form but my university has already sent it AAMC. Will it be delayed/rejected? What should I do? I am freaking out now!!!!![]()
You can call AAMC to make sure. They are pretty helpful from what I hear.

AMCAS pretty much emails you for everything, including when they've received a transcript.

I was on the phone with AMCAS yesterday and they told me that you actually don't even need to send the transcript request form it just helps them match it up to your application. If you didn't sign it I would not worry!
Mmmm...It's now been 14 days since I mailed in y transcript to my university. I finally called my university and they said they mailed it to AAMC last Friday. Will my app be delayed by transcript verification? I haven't gotten the email from AAMC yet.

I remember it taking about that long. They need your transcripts before they can put you in line to get verified. If you're doing all of this stuff now you'll be fine. You can always call AAMC to check up on stuff like this.
I have the same issue as the poster before. The submission date is arriving and I want my application to go in with the first batch. Can I submit without my transcript arriving yet? My school has already sent it and it has already been confirmed to arrive at AMCAS, however amcas has not said it has been received yet.I remember it taking about that long. The submission date is arriving..but AMCAS doesn't even release the applications until mid-late june. So you should still be fine!

You can submit whenever you want but you won't enter the line for verification until the transcript comes in. But if you're ready, go ahead and submit so you aren't waiting around for a transcript received email to submit. Although I'm sure you'll still wait around for the transcript received email 😉

Yep, exactly. I submitted a little over a week after the first submission date last year and was verified before AMCAS transmitted applications, so I was still in the first batch.
