So if you were to have a really good DAT, and were accepted your first round, which of the following is the overall BEST choice for the year following?

1. Post Bacc Formal

2. Extra Science Classes Possibly Double Major

3. Masters in Science field

Just curious which you would choose and why?

i don't get it. why would you do any of these if you were accepted?

i'm guessing your gpa is not the best? for me personally: extra science courses > post bacc > masters. I would look for the cheapest options first. also, you don't want to be committed to some program because there is a chance that you will still get in that year. i personally see a masters program as the last choice (unless you get into a 1 year masters that has links to the dental school)

Agree completely with this. 👍

To be absolutely sure, call the schools that you are interested in - they will tell you exactly what they prefer. I know that one school didn't care where any of us took our postbac classes as long as they were a 4-year school. This is one of those specific questions where the schools need to advise you on how you can improve.

Would taking extra science classes at a UC extension (example: UC Berkeley extension classes) be looked down upon? (since you're not actually going to UC Berkeley, but the extension?)

no, it would not be looked down upon.

Try a csu, it'll probably be cheaper.

Whats your GPA? Maybe you just need to apply to the right schools.
