Can anyone describe the formats for hospitalist interviews currently? Is it first a phone/zoom interview then an on site interview? Or are there multiple interviews? Who usually interviews you?

It varies by institution, but a general rule of thumb is some sort of phone/zoom screening interview followed by a site visit. Typically the initial virtual interview is with a hospitalist director of some sort, and site visit day is with a more wide range of staff including leadership positions, other hospitalists, admins, and sometimes some support staff. This was my experience anyhow, YMMV. (I interviewed with 5 different sites in the past 6ish months, FWIW).
