Hello,

I am about to write my Essay (Statement of Purpose) for the dental school. I have some few questions and would highly appreciate if somebody could answer these questions.

1. What should be the approximate length (in words) of the essay?
2. What should be the font and the font size used for the essay?
3. What should be the paragraph and the line spacing?
4. Are there any sites where I can look for these guidelines?

Also, I would really appreciate if someone can send me their essay format (you do not need to retain the content...you can delete the content and fill the space with some junk). All that I am looking for is the format of the essay.

Thanks in advance.

If you're asking about your personal statement for AADSAS, I think that it only has 1 font and tells you right in there how many words it can be (1000 if i remember right). I dont believe there's a strict format rule, but I just separated paragraphs with a single line and did not indent. You should look at that section in AADSAS. check the help section they may have additional info if needed.

don't even worry about that stuff - you have no options. You just type and the application sets the format. Check the AADSAS site, but I think the limit is 4500 characters INCLUDING SPACES, so it's up to you if you want to use up characters for indentation. And you are not able to enter any extra characters, once the limit is reached. Good luck on your essay.
