It is said that you cannot just copy and paste from word file since that will cause some format problem. Can I copy and paste to a notepad first then copy and paste again into the AMCAS system, will that cause format problem. If you see there is no problem in the AMCAS window, does that mean that there will be no problem. Does it have to be typed in word by word into the system? I just feel that's too much.

Just paste it and then correct anything that changes. After you continue from the typing window, just read it over in the summary section and see if it looks OK.

You can always check what the final thing is going to look like when you view the PDF (if I remember correctly, it's "Print Application" on the home page). That's what adcoms will see. Just paste, save, and view the PDF.

I had a formatting issue on my ps that wouldn't go away either - one word in particular was getting chopped up for no reason (just seemed to happen at that particular point in my essay). I just had to delete and re-type that paragraph, and it was fixed. GL
