New group that I'm working for before my fellowship starts in Jan is asking that I form a PA for myself. I called one of the lawyers of the partners to get this done and left a msg but no call back yet.

Since I will be an independent contractor with a guaranteed daily rate, is the PA the best way to go versus other entities (LLC, etc?)

Also, anybody know about how I can use the independent contractor along with/without the PA to purchase/lease cars? We are planning on buying an SUV today but didn't want to screw up the paperwork if I'm planning on using it as a tax write-off.
