I've heard that a good strategy for the Natural Sciences section of the DAT is to move through the 30 minute tutorial relatively quickly, and then take the rest of the time to jot down some formulas for GChem, etc on your scratch paper.

For those of you who have taken the DAT or have used/recommend this strategy, what formulas and or constants do you recommend memorizing in order to write down on scratch paper before the test?

Thanks.

Formulas = everything in kaplan blue book
constants = ideal gas and i think thats all i bothered with
Keep in mind that if you write down formulas in the tutorial you won't be able to exchange scrap paper without losing them (my paper was a booklet). So you have 2 options either erase all your work (which i did) or write formulas during the break for the math section.

Holly Crap Dr.TacoElf!!! You erased the work? LOL. Thats hilarious...I went through 6 pages on my last DAT. 4 pages were QR

At the beginning of my break I turned in my booklet so I would have enough paper for the QR. When I signed back in, I had to haggle with the staff to get a fresh booklet because I still had one blank page left on the old one. I told her that I needed more pages and that I would not have enough time during the test to come and exchange the booklet. As a result of this, the RC started because the break time had expired. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) I was a little frazzled. So erasing like DrTacoElf is maybe not such a bad idea.

I had a new "booklet" after break. And I ran out of space for QR. Talking about QR, after I "finished" the last question, I could not use "Go To Question" button. It only let me go back to marked questions! I wasted about five minutes or so. I should have complained to get some extra minutes!!!
