On an recent practice exam I encournterd a question that gave me the volume and radi of the base of an cylinder and asked me to caluctae tension ( the formula for tension was given in passa) ? the fomula for tension required HEIGHT of column , which I suppose knowing the fact that the container is a cylinder and given the radius and volume I should have been able to calculate ? IF I HAD KNOWN THE FORMULA for volume of a clylinder!!!!
Is it common to see these on the MCAT .
seemed like a SAT minus the formula sheet question to me.
Thank you

Yeah, I think you are expected to know those stuff.

Volume of a sphere: 4 pi r^2
Perimeter of a circle: 2 pi r
Area of a circle: pi r^2
Volume of a cylinder: pi r^2 height
Area of a triangle: 1/2 Base * Height

Any of the other simple ones I've left out? I think thats about all of them
