It was to people with spouses in the medical profession. How is the sex? Is there time? Is it good? I could imagine with the exhaustion and call duty, that the sex could fizzle.
It fizzles anyway when you get married.......... then you have kids and it goes away all together. I can't imagine the stresses of medical training helping any, but I hope they do😀

Thats awesome to hear that. I'm really glad to hear that you are doing well with it. Any other peoples thoughts? And not just sex. Hows the relationship in general? Still go on dates? Still a love connection? Less or more arguing?

After 6 years of being together and almost 5 years of marriage, if I told you how much and how wonderful our sex life is, you wouldn't believe me.
I am a firm believer that if you are matched to the right person, sex after marriage only gets better. That goes for the relationship too. Most people think we must be newlyweds, instead of a married couple with hubby in his second year.
Right before finals, there isn't as much time together, but we make up for it afterwards. 🙂
Where there is desire to be with another person, there is always the time and the way. 🙂
Oh, and no arguments! We occasionally have a difference of opinion but love the chance to communicate and always work things out happily. Its all focus and what is important to you in terms of how you interact with each other.

My poor guy is so stressed when he comes home from the hospital he pounces on me for a fix. It so wonderful too b/c it's been so long since we have seen eachother we hold one another closer and with more love than ever!!!

Though, I have to say, that even after 6 years together, hubby being in his second year of med school, and me being in my third trimester.....we 'do it' more then the average single person, though it is less then our norm (for now).
I believe that sex is a priority like anything else and if it is important, you put it in the high priority range. Hopefully, like other things a couple should match in, both people in a couple have it in the same priority.
That is where most of the problem lays....different priorities, or the inability to be honest before marriage about sex.
Still, it hasn't become less for us....maybe when we are both in our 70s. 🙂

Wait till you have the child.............OH, boy does it change forever then.
My wife is usually physically exhausted with the baby and breast feeding. You will also have zilcho sex drive as long as you are breast feeding (assuming you do).
It improves, but for a while............it's a life changer. IN a good way of course. Our child is wonderful. priorities definately change after the birth of a child.

We've only been married for a little over three months, so i probably shouldn't be posting on this subject yet. So far, our sex life has been as active as before, which i think was more than many, though i didn't exactly take a poll! Honestly, it's med school that gets in the way, not marriage. I'm a second year, and the workload has been a LOT heavier than last year. I imagine this will only get worse when i start my rotations. Luckily, my husband is a pretty understanding guy and i do what i can to make up for the down times.
