I received a question today that I'm hoping someone can help me out on. I was asked why someone would want to give Forteo to a dialysis patient. My response would be that you wouldn't... you don't need any more parathyroid hormone in dialysis if anything you're going to get hyperparathyroidism. Also there are no studies out about this topic. Does anyone know anything about this or can voice an opinion?
