Four Weeks and still not Verified ... ?!

I have now been active since 8/26 and received 2 secondaries. Now comes the task for rounding up LOR writers. Here we go...should be verified in like...october!

My b-day is the 19th, would it be nice to be verified on that day??
 
FINALLY! I finally got the email today that my application was processed. I have no idea what took so long. I went active on 7/30 (though I submitted early June), and all three of my transcripts were exactly the same as last year's application. But it's finally complete!
 
What's everyone's status? I'm going on 4 weeks this coming Friday. Darn, should've submitted waaaaaaaaay earlier.
 
I hit 4 weeks yesterday. No dice so far.
 
Forget verification. Mine hasn't even gone active yet!!!! They keep losing my transcripts and the bastards are putting me on hold. Hoping to get active by next week. Good thing I took the august mcat or I would be sh*tting in my pants right now.
 
Why the variability in the time that it takes to process? Some people get processed in just a week or two and some get dragged on for what seems like forever.

So what's the deal? Why are some processed so quickly and some are not?

I still have a transcript sitting in a pile. Why don't they hire more people to process the mail? It's a busy season. They should expect it.
 
I submitted my AMCAS application on July 20th...went active a few days later and was finally processed on August 5th. Not too much of a wait time at all. Yesterday (09/10), I received an email from AMCAS saying that my application had been processed........more than a month to get my processed email, even though I was processed over a month ago and have completed several screened secondary applications. Kinda weird to me. Hope everyone does not have to wait too much longer. Hang in there and finish those secondary apps that you do get. Good luck!!! 😀

It looks like my application was transmitted to these schools pretty early on. But I haven't heard jack from them. I'm pretty sure these schools don't screen....

8.5weeks?😱 😱 That is soo NOT normal.
 
Are we really at a huge disadvantage since our applications have yet to be verified? I'm going on my 5th week now. I'm thinking we're along the same timeline as those who took the AUG MCAT.
 
I think amcas should learn something from aacomas! I got verified by aacomas in less than 2 weeks and when they received my transcripts i.e., 3 days later, they updated the page! When I called them, they were very very very nice too! I know that aacomas receives less applications than amcas, but still, atleast amcas people should be more organized considering the number of applications they get!! Geez!

ok sorry! Its friday, i should be happy, its the weekend!

If you go back in you will probably find that those dates have shifted back to more recent dates. Actually I knew that when one of the dates became more recent, within a day or two, that I was about to recieve a secondary from that school. It has happened with all of them; processed around 8/5, when it switched to 8/16 there was the secondary. Good luck.

Yes I sent my transcripts in beginning of August. Received around 10th.

Submitted/Became active on the 26th.

I am happy for you cmudan...BUT MY APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED BEFORE YOURS (August 21st)...WHAT THE HECK IS TAKING THEM SOOO LONG😡 😡 +pissed+ +pissed+

I called them and the guy told me to check the system on monday.

I hope my verification is coming up soon since I turned in my AMCAS several days before you. They've also had my transcripts since June. OKAY... I'll try to be patient.🙄

was in line for verification the 28 of august, had everything ready, and still not everified. I talked to them today, and they said 4-6 st....d weeks... ggggggggrrrrrr

I Think I am going to faint away. It is weird though that the transmission dates to the schools have sept 2 thru sept 12th as being dates the schools were sent my file.

I got an email this morning. Yippee. For all those stil waiting, we are thinking about you.

Well I guess now I have opened myself up to getting rejection letters. Yikes it is a double edged sword🙄
 
About those dates:

I think those dates that are shown when first verified are when schools only downloaded your bio info. before verification. I checked again today and 3 of mine have been updated to around 9/27. I looked on the print application page, and those 3 are stated to have been transmitted.

Maybe that helps?

I was verified on 8/31 and still haven't been transmitted to Einstein. HOWEVER, 2 weeks ago, I received an email from Einstein telling me that my secondary had been received and I was currently under review. My onlline AMCAS still doesn't show transmission.

Chap,
So even though you haven't been transmitted to them they sent you a secondary? I haven't received anything from them.

I do have their secondary by chance...do you think I should just go ahead and send it in?

If so, then it only took...7 business days. Maybe I should have posted this on the DO forum.
 
7 days? That's all. So, you submitted it on like the Friday before last week because the weekends were off? Wow!

Yes that is what that means. If you go to E-profile and your application pops up then you are processed. Plus it shows the schools have been sent your application. Your waiting is over. Mine took 12 days. AMCAS could learn alot from AACOMAS

I was verified for aacomas within 12 days as well, and yes, 12 days including weekends.

12 weeks, why? What happened? Were you missing transcripts? Can someone please tell me why some applicants seem to get priority over others. I know of people that were processed in less than a month and others that took close to two months.
 
I did have some unique circumstances regarding my study abroad credits which caused me to be put on hold after hitting "verification." If you have a straight forward app, it really shouldn't take much longer than five weeks. If it does, call and bug...Ask for a supervisor and DO NOT BACK DOWN when bullied. They become super nice when you convince them that they were at fault.

My primary was verified early and I am receiving secondaries right now. However, I retook the MCAT on June 14th and won't get a score until July 15th.
