FQHC and billing honestly doesnt matter much. THey get paid per head. At the end of the year they do look at what you bill and increase or decrease compensation for the clinic but most if not all FQHC doctors are on salary. So it doesnt matter. A 99212 vs a 99214 pays the doctor the exact same. If you bill solid 99214's that may increase compesnation for the clinic at year end but wont increase the doctors salary.

They (the FQHC centers..) are not poor. They are "poor us we treat medicaide only were so poor" rich bastards.

DYK343 is correct, and it doesn't matter what procedures are (or are not) performed, the facility gets paid for the patient visit

Does anyone have experience working as a 1099 for a FQHC? Do you get a flat fee per patient as well?
