Input on schools' chances of cancelling or rescheduling interviews due to hurricane? Scheduled for one in mid-Atlantic on Monday in the heart of the beast and worried about getting out that night.

I had an interview at Einstein scheduled for Monday and got an email this morning saying that they cancelled their Monday and Tuesday interviews. They're going to reschedule our interviews, but I don't know the details about that yet. After reading about the hurricane (I'm in California so I didn't know about it beforehand), I definitely think schools should cancel/reschedule all their interviews early next week, as they should value your safety. Or at least be accommodating if you request a change. It seems too risky to be travelling in the area!

I have a Wed interview as well. I think I will wait it out and call them on Tues if I can't make it out.

MCV (Richmond, VA) has officially alerted students that, for the time being, all regular academic and clinical activities will continue as scheduled for the time being. They have established emergency protocols and have alerted us (students) as to what to expect. I would not anticipate most schools in this area canceling interviews unless the hurricane gets quite a bit closer as these things are impossible to predict accurately (until it's almost too late) and schools don't like to get behind on interviews. That said, email your schools if you're coming far and make sure you're on. I would anticipate you will hear promptly, though, if your interview is to be rescheduled.

I sent an email about this to a nyc school but haven't received any reply. If I call Monday, will it be too late? I have a Wednesday interview, so I'm kind of concerned about transportation issues too. At this point, I'm not really sure what else to do.

I have an interview 11/8 at vermont. do you think that's far enough beyond the reach of frankenstorm?
