I was just wondering, Is frap version the hardest version? I took the dats in August and I got a frapped... I thought my exam was totally random in biology , my score were ok TS: 19 and AA: 18 cuz of ethics passage and UOP wants me to retake it. So I was wondering if the frap version was the most diffucult one for most ppl??? Another stupid question.. There is no essay on frap Right? it is just biology frap question linked to the long ethics passages right? (thats what I had). Thanks for your time guys..

I actually just got out of it. Did horrible. Got an 18. Bio killed me. I thought it was my best subject. Quantitative killed me, and I was doing well on Kaplan. errr.

As for reading comprehension, I THOUGHT it was simple, but I ended up with a 19. I ended up with 7 mins left still on the clock and I was just checking answers that could be looked up. I found one mistake that I marked, but that's it. Clueless on how I received a 19.

I'll be prepared for when I retake in May.

I got 18 on bio and I also thought it was my best subject... I took a practice exam the day before and got a 26 in biology... I actually got a 17 in reading (that y I have to retake). I thought that the overall version of the exam was hard because even in gchem adn ochem I had so many application questions and spec questions.

If you want to do well on Bio, Kaplan's stuff is not enough. I'm not a biology major, so I feel I wasn't as prepared as I could be. I'm just starting to take some bio classes past Bio 1 and Bio 2, but I feel like they would have came in handy. There were some random questions on there.

Listen to the wise on this forum; study from more than one source.

As for the FRAP examine, I really dont know how to assess my performance. If there were questions that I studied and I forgot, I would be more mad. I just ran into some random stuff I never saw before. I guess that should motivate me to read every book.

I should have known what frap was all about since I heard about it on here.

is the curve any different on the frapp version?
looking at a poll done by klutzy it seems like 1/3 of those who took the poll got frapped?? do you think this is representative of the chance of getting this version?

I think its all about luck.. depends on when and where you take it... But I don't think you can come across the same questions again on the dats when you retake right?

do schools know if u had the FRAP version of the test? i would think not right?

I don't belieee that schools are notified about which version of the test one receives. If they did I can see where an unfairness when it comes to considering applicants might come in.

I think it is jsut the luck of the draw as to what version of the test that one gets. Last year I got a histo slide on bio, frapped and ethics all at the same time. Needless to say I am retaking.

yea i had the same version, it was rather crazy but i managed to get a little lucky. good luck!!

yea I had that version with histo, frap, and ethics passage... god I just wished I would've taken it a different day.. but I am retaking mine in nov. God knows what the adea might put in bio test next year.

Quick question: When UofP requested a retake, did they want you to retake because a particular section was low? or that your AA was low?

Just wondering, cause I got an 18 PAT (everything else was fine) but im worried they may ask me to retake (especially since they like high PAT). that would totally suck cause im not even applying to next cycle and im sure i will have forgotten everything by then.

Call the school and ask for clarification. That is the best advice I believe you are going to receive. UofP has cut-offs but I am not sure what they are. It is appropriate to speculate that if they have asked for a re-take then there is something about your score(s) that they do not like.

Im going to redo that poll so that now everyone has already taken their DAT and we will be able to get a better representation of the actual percentages.

I got frapped couple of weeks back, Biology was really horrible. Lot of application questions. Ethics was as annoying as expected -- full of tone questions. I came across some posts where people got frapped but didn't get any tone questions on RC: - that might mean there are two different versions of Frap or atleast there are different questions for RC part. Quantitative had never ending word problems...! In short Frap can screw an averagely prepared person...!!

I think it was the reading comp because I got a 17 but she said to also bring up biology which I got an 18 in. She said if I would've had another point anywhere it would raised my AA and then I would've been safe. so if you got an 18 on PAT they love pat so I am pretty sure they are gonna ask you to retake unless you kicked ass in every other subject. But I wanna know from ppl if they took the frap and retook and it was easier?

Dude I had the FRAP and I did alright. RC did suck, but it was possible. I thought the more killer areas were QR and BIO. Bio was so random and I felt none of my studying even help me. QR had tons of word problems and lots of unanswerable ones...

What do u ppl think that a person who got a TS: 19 and AA: 18 would've had a higher scores otherwise if it wasn't the frap version and was well prepared?

I think you should stop worrying about the frap and focus on studying.

Nah there are more, just people do well on those so they arent as well publicized.

I absolutely agree! Folks stop worrying about frapped or pianoed. In dental school we will be hit with heavy reading materials . Just practice reading scientific materials everyday. Just my two cents 🙄

IMO in d-school we may have at least one night befre the test and not 20 mins for a passage --b/c you know nobody remembers what the passage was about 😉
