Hello everyone, I was frapped today. I have to say it was a hard exam.

Bio: Kind of random. I used cliffs Ap and destroyer for studying. I had about 3 questions that came directly from destroyer. Know your cell bio and development because I had a lot of questions on that kind of stuff. Nothing was crazy except for the FRAP question. I read stuff on it before the exam and I still couldn't answer it. I also had one 'identify what cell this is' question. Nothing was crazy. I would advise knowing destroyer. It prepares you well.

Gc: Pretty straight fwd. I had a couple of calculations where I had no idea what to do. I had one question that was directly from topscore. I remember because I got that questions wrong and was so pissed at myself, I didn't look at the right answer. I got that same question today and was ****!. So, make sure you review all answers during practice. I studied with destroyer and kaplan online.

Oc: Very straight fwd. 1NMR question, a few multi step. Know sterochemistry. I studied with destroyer and kaplan online. Destroyer is not overkill for this section. It is just right.

Pat: Crack Pat is very good for this. I thought everything was comparable to crack pat except keyholes were harder. Everything else is fairly similar.

Rc: Frapped! This passage sucks ass. The other two are alright. Actually, the last few questions on the last passage are very hard to find. I strained my eyes to the Vmax but still couldn't find them. Didn't really study for this section except topscore tests.

Qr: I studied using destroyer and kaplan full lengths. I had about 40% word problems and the rest purely number problems. I suck at QR.

Last years: Today:
Pat:16 18
Qr:15 16
Rc:19 17
Bio:18 18
Gc:18 18
Oc:20 22
Ts:19 19
AA:18 18

I'm not extactic about them, nor am I super depressed. I guess I'm a slightly less than content. My cGPA is 3.5 and sGPA of 3.36. My top choice is Minnesota. What do you guys think? I know HughManity is applying their and he has probably taken one their seats knowing what his scores were.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Almost exactly the same scores as me topdent.
pat, qr, bio, TS and AA all exactly the same 🙂

I hope this is a good thing!

well good job, i know we both worked hard and deserve to get in

hey topdent. congrats

can u plz post ur achiever and topscore scores. i really appreciate it

I think you will get in!! i mean most people on here are over acheivers and claim anything below 20 a bad, but i know people get in with scores like yours all the time.. so you should happy!!

Hey, I think you have a great shot... one thing I found on this website is many people feeling hopeless and concerned....but I believe everyone should remember that each person has come from different backgrounds and has a different story...therefore, don't give up, think positive in everything you do, and you will get in. Good luck! 👍

Hey,
In g chem did you have to calculate any logs or significant digit type things? Also, for your bio, did you use kaplan? or do any of the kaplan practice tests? If so, how did that compare to the real thing?

FRAP means a question on BIO section.

But many say that this FRAP question leads to an ethics-based RC section that is tough as heck.

Saw millions of posts on this yet i still don't know why people found it hard 😀 Just read up on ethics ahead of time.

hope i see this question though (curiousity + i took a philosophy course in ethics of the medical field)

I don't remember my topscore results because the are all cleared, but I can tell you that I was avg. 18-20 on all subjects except QR which was 16-18. GL. Crack pat results were from 16-20, gradually increasing.

I did not have any logs, but you should know how to divide exponents. As far as kaplan, it is decent, although the real exam is harder. Topscore is better.

Do you guys think that my RC score will push me down since i did the opposite of improve? I also heard some schools combine the highest scores of the dat attempts.

its a terminology on sdn for a specific version of the DAT exam. We use the word 'frapped' to signify a verb as in 'i was frapped today'. Other details of the exam include a tough RC passage and a crazy biology question that deals with FRAP technique.
