Freakin' Out
Started by DScheveningen
...about?
I was freaking out earlier. But I feel pretty composed right now.
I've been in school for about two years now, but I just switched to pre-pharm this semester. I've periodically wondered over the past few weeks what I've gotten myself into.
I use my freak outs to kick me into doing a reality check. Freaking out is irrational. Reality checks are rational.
DScheveningen posed a perfectly reasonable question.

P.S. DScheveningen: Kom je uit Den Haag?

twester, Was that sarcasm about my question? i wasn't try to waste space or anything, just a little bit stressed with applications. 😀 By the way, what question did you ask me?
Well, the direct translation into English is:
Do you end up The Hague? (I think)
or Do you live in The Hague? something like that...my Dutch is a bit rusty 🙂
Since you did not know the question, you should probably answer:
Nr, Ik ben niet van Den Haag. (I think)

Close Tuck. It was "Are you from the Hague?" And you're right - the answer is apparently "no". 🙂
No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I thought it was a valid question.
I asked the question in Dutch because Scheveningen is a section of the Hague located right on the North Sea. Lovely place. Spent a lot of time there.

I guess I skipped that step this year. 😀
Yes to say the least!! This week I have 3 tests (onr take-home which takes a while to complete), and a power ponit presentation. To make matters worse, they're trying to add another presentation to our schedule this week!! Whoever said the hardest part of pharmacy school is getting in did not attend UF!! 😱

Welcome to UF. Year two is even worse, but at least you will be used to the pace by then. It seems like they try like hell to make us flunk out.
I'm glad they are done with the hurricane make-up lectures, so we don't have to cram in extra material any more. Those extra lectures really cut into my study time.

Michele- when you get back from the PCAT, can you give a full report on the new test format? (yes I know I can go to the website-but you know..) You have to tell me how much Orgo and Calc is on that test. So many rumors going around about the new format and I'd really like to hear from a current test taker. I know myself and I'm sure others too would love to know as well! I appreciate it.

Not a problem. I will do my best to remember. The Calc part should be easy to remember, those will be the questions I have to guess the answer to...

It sneaks up on you doesn't it?
sons of bi*@# trying to freak people out! well, not me, because i'm not taking the pcat. 😀
Just be thankful that it didn't say that the PCAT was yesterday.
I'm so freaking out!

I cranked out my personal statement like I do it for a living
It was a bunch of well-worded twaddle. Which is sometimes all that is required as long as it is honest well-worded twaddle.
