Freaking out! AMCAS-Transcript not received? Should i submit it?

I have been waiting for aamc to receive my transcript that was sent out on june 13th, but today i realized that in the address column i wrote AAMC, attn: Trancripts(rather than AMCAS<Attn:Transcripts). DO You think that is a huge error and i should have my school resend my transcript?

Also, im done wit my PS, activites etc. but havent submitted my amcas yet bcs i was waiting for my transcipt since they will wait for the transcript to verify my application and send out to schools right???? Thanks.

I would resend it just to make sure.

Go ahead and submit your application if it will make you feel better . . . . It really doesn’t matter since they will wait for your transcript before they verify anyway.

it's not a huge error, I'm sure it will still get to the right address.

I'd wait until the end of the week to see if it's been received. I sent mine out a couple days before that and it was just received yesterday.

You can submit your application before transcripts arrive, and some schools will send out secondaries immediately. Don't postpone your submission - do that now if you're ready, and the transcripts will arrive when they feel like it. It can be painstakingly slow (one of my transcripts took almost a month to get recognized).

what about waiting for MCAT scores to be released? All my app is complete but I'm waiting for the MCAT scores from June 15 (estimated score release around Jul 18). Should I submit now anyway?

ooh I am sooo happy to hear that u sent you MACAS application a couple of days before the 13th and it was just recgnized yesterday... i sent mine 6/15 and it still hasn't been recognized...however...the AACOMAs has them both recognized and GPA calculated...

as far as the question re: the MCATs... i would still send it as soon as possible...just hit submitt...so when your MCATS grades are posted they will verify and send out your app as soon as possible...and other people are right... I am getting secondaries without my transcripsts being verified...granted i think these are the schools which do not screen... but I am happy to get them sent out now...

can u please tell me which schools sent their secondary without transcripts received. i sent my transcripts on the 21st and still not received. i only wanted to apply to one school for early admission so i have to make the october 1 deadline. should i resend transcripts and tell them to fed ex it. it will be like $30 to overnight it and i have two transcripts. Please let me know if Suny downstate sends the secondary without the transcripts.

I honestly don't think you need to resend it, but you can if you want to. If I remember correctly, the address is a PO box so I'm sure whoever ultimately sorts it is a human and can understand your typo.

I got an email from my college saying that my transcript was sent on the 12th and it wasn't verified until yesterday.

I want to remail the transcript too after I got a notice from AMCAS reminding me that my primary is still on hold due to a missing transcript. I don't want to confuse AMCAS by sending them two transcripts, though. ARGH the wait!!
