This one test...ONE test...it means as much as my grades over the past 3 years, RIGHT? How is that fair?! i have a 4.0 but if I mess up this ONE test (and I have messed up tests before!!!) it will all be for nothing!! AHHHH!!!!

I know you don't want to hear somebody being rational with you right now. You are freaking out, and I can definitely sympathize. But this one test WILL NOT break you. Even if you completely ****ed it up (unlikely, given your academic record) you can retake it. It's not good to screw it up, but it's not the end of the world either! I have friends who ****ed the first one and did well on the second who are now in medical school. :luck:

Thank you! You're right, I just hope I only have to take it once!

Sorry, I don't grok "fair". What does that mean again and who holds med schools to that standard? 😕

Drop the idea of fairness from your lexicon. It's a great standard to hold yourself to, it's a terrible standard to expect from the world, 'cause it don't happen.

In this case fair = standards applied to all equally and well known beforehand, so I wouldn't even say standards are unfair.

How does one freak out and retain the decorum to post somewhat coherently with varied stylizations in their text and no misspellings? 😕

Seriously, when I freak out, it's so much quicker to reach out and touch someone. I feel sorry for the first person on the speed dial on my cell phone. Poor Aaron. 🙁

I love it when people ask me about the word "grok". It basically means to understand in the fullest extent of the word. It's from "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein, one of the best authors ever. I highly recommend it and most of his others.

😍 for Mousie and Roo!

In light of your obssessive 'freaking out' posting prior to the MCAT, I find this hard to believe.

j/k 😉

"Life's not fair" is actually what I was thinking when I posted that... See, I have sense enough for myself, I just like to hear it from others too.
