My test is coming up soon and i've read in a bunch of forum that the kaplan bio is very general. I've been studying the kaplan blue book and supplementing what i don't know with notes and wikipedia. however many of the post said that about 10 questions are just iffy that require a lot of in depth knowledge. i'm worried because i've read the kaplan book like twice and still feel uneasy about the bio section.

there is not much you can do about those 10 questions. The best thing to do is use what you do know to rule out the incorrect choices. worked for me and many others. The only other thing i could recommend is to get your hands on as many bio resources as possoble. I used cliffs AP, and shaum's in addition to the blue book.

There are different versions of the test, so you may not get the one with the 10 wierd questions. But then again all the tests have a few random ones. 😉

I agree. Your best tool will be to eliminate answers and narrow it down.

If you have a week or two left, I would say to get Cliff's AP Bio if you are really feeling iffy about it. I'd say it was the single best book for bio prep, IMO. And it is very approachable in a week or two.

There's almost no amount of studying that will help you for the really random questions, so spend your time addressing the high yield topics. I think that Cliff's was best for this IMO.

There are A LOT of very straightforward questions on the bio section as well, and those are the ones you truly don't want to be missing.
