I took classes at the local community college, in which I didn't do to well in. I was reading through AMCAS and they said that those classes will be listed as High School, however, will they still figure those classes into the overall AMCAS gpa?...If someone has any idea, plz help!

Yes. They will be calculated into your overall GPA. It definitely bites, but you wouldn't be alone in this situation and schools do look at individual grades most of the time and will see that those grades affected your GPA (hopefully). Really makes you wish your high school/pre-college advisors knew anything at all...

How many credit hours have taken so far?

It is possible to bring up your GPA if you messed up freshman year.

High School?

Are community college credits the only ones that will be listed under high school?

Any college credits taken during HS will be listed here.

so because everyone loves a repetitive person, let me make sure i get this.

if i took classes at a 4yr uni while i was still in high school, it'll get listed under HS but will be counted in my AMCAS gpa.

if 2 of these classes were BCPM, i am assuming that means they will be counted in BCPM gpa as well as overall?

thanks!

yes. Any college classes taken period at a CC or otherwise are listed and counted. For the OP if you did bad its not too huge a deal. It sucks but as long as you do well in college for the 4 yrs it can be overlooked.

that is good news for me. that's 4 extra classes and 2 are math... just helps with the initial glance at gpa that i'm sure people will be doing...

and Frazier with that kind of giant discrepancy you'll be the poster child for the 'trends of improvement' people keep talking about. it is annoying for, again, that first glance they do, but your ridiculous upward trend will speak plenty for you i would think. disclaimer being that i'm a couple of years away from even applying yet but that's from what i've read on here and elsewhere.
