i'm currently a sophomore in college and I'm just soooooooo nervous about all these chem classes that i have to take and everything and not getting a high grade on my pcat. reading through all these threads about people already taking the pcat and getting interviews for their pharmacys makes me more nervous!! but good for you to all those who are almost done with the process of getting in..

You need to get over the anxiety, and do it soon, otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy. I speak from a wealth of experience...

From personal experience, you are going to see a ton of GOOD posts on here, more then negative ones of people saying how poorly they did. I remember being somewhat in your situation and looking on here and seeing how everyone did except I turned it into motivation to one day be posting on here with my own story. The best advice I can give to you though is, do the best YOU can. Don't get caught up in others and what they have to say, just stay focused and work hard and it will pay off 🙂 Good luck

I am a current P1 and last year I was also reading these forums, but don't get too caught up in the people with a 95 on their PCATs. I had a PCAT score in the 60s, a GPA of 3.22 (however in my final 3 semesters of completing my BS in Chemistry, I had a GPA > 3.5). I was accepted into Rutgers, The Ohio State University, Temple, and MCPHS.

The one thing I will say is that actually obtaining my Bachelor's helped me overall in the maturity of applying to and attending Pharmacy school, so don't become discouraged even if you have to wait an extra year or so for whatever reason because it will still be worth it in the end if it's what you want to do for your career. 👍

Excellent point.👍

To be honest, I really think only 10% of them really scored that high...if not less. The rest are simply in a war to win social reputations as intelligent folks. Epic failure:sendoff:

You can do this! Just keep focused on each day and try not to look TOO far ahead or you will stress yourself out. I did that a LOT my first year or two. I just freaked out like if I freaked out enough time might fast forward...but once I got over it and just took one day at a time things were MUCH less stressful. You can only eat an elephant one bite at a time. 😉

Just remember most people would love to have a second opportunity to go back and do well in their prereqs. You still have the opportunity to do well the first time around. Take advantage of it!

And try to enjoy ochem. You'll have an easier time 😀,

wow thank you everyone for all these positive comments, i haven't been checking up on this forum and i'm surprised with how many people have commented. it does really give me motivation that there are people who are in the same boat as me.

good luck to all 🙂
