Where can you take a free DAT diagnostic exam? Are there any free ones online? I called Kaplan and they said I would have to sign up for their class in order to take one through them.

So did you guys not even take a diagnostic before u started Ur study schedule? Sorry if this is a basic question but I'm trying to put together a study schedule before I begin studying.

Amount of tests are limited without spending a significant amount of money so most people just start studying. It is pretty clear what you know and don't know after doing practice questions and studying the material.

Hey do you or anyone happen to have a study schedule? I noticed its kinda rough to put something together on your on. I read up on DentalWork's schedule but it doesn't seem to have anytime for practice exams.

These are not free but helpful tools

ADA DAT online practice test

$37
Covers all sections of the DAT and is a previous DAT that was developed by the ADA that is no longer being used, it will give you a good feel for the actual exam

This is offered at the prometric testing center - called a test drive by

$30
You will not take an actual DAT test but you will be able to sit at the computer, answer questions, get familiar with the on screen calculator, not a bad idea if you want to be fully prepared and know what to expect on test day.

Oh damn, I thought the Kaplan was free to do on their website... I didn't know you had to go in and write it.
