Free medical assistant certification program?

I’m a NYS resident, but all the MA jobs in the area require certification. Are there any free MA certification options? If not, which are low-cost? Thank you!

I would call around to every clinic or private practice you can to see if they’ll hire you without a cert, even just to bring patients back and take their vitals. I got hired in with no experience and took my CCMA certification exam after (they allow you to sit with 1 year of work experience as a MA). Otherwise, any of these programs are gonna be long and expensive but I have heard decent things about stepful.

Just do cold calling. There are some small practices that will train you to become an MA. Best of luck!
