Freezing and melting point

freezing and melting point describe the same process, just reverse!

When you have ice thats REALLY cold, and heat it up, it will begin to melt at a little above 0 degrees celsius.
When you have hot water and cool it, it will begin to freeze at....wait for it....0 degrees celsius!

Again, its the same process, just reversed.

Think of it as liquid to solid phase. Take coconut oil. It freezes at near room temperature (by freeze, it's solid like butter), and it melts if you hold it in your hand.
