I am freshman having some worries about my current progress as a Pre-Med.
Current I am taking Chem102, Bio100, Engl10, and PoliSci110.
As an insight to what type of student I am, I currently have an A+ in my chemistry, english, and political science class.
My issue lies with Bio100.

At my university, our Bio100 professor is teaching far from what I read about Bio100 being straight memorization. There are questions on the exams regarding material that aren't even in his lectures, the textbook, nor any of the readings. The average test score is a 56% for the first midterm and just as low for the second. Post-bacs and transfer students have said [on the discussion board] that this course is nothing like Bio100 at other universities and is more like an upper level biology course where you must self-learn. Also this class does not offer a curve. Right now I'm standing at a possible C. How will this affect my future applying for medical school?

It is not an option that I withdraw because I will drop below the credits needed to be a full time student.

Depending on your major, you might need to retake it. If you're a bio major or minor, getting A's in the upper division courses should suffice. If you're not, you will need to ace bio 2 and do well on the MCAT. I would recommend you see if there is an option to change to pass/no pass and retake it for the letter grade.

I'm strongly considering transferring universities just to have a different professor and retake this course. There only one Bio100 professor, so if I retake it or continue to bio 2, I'll end up with him again. There's even a petition going around to have this course evaluated...

I wasn't planning to major in Biology, but would it be in my best interest to save myself?

If biology is not of your interest, don't major in biology. I would recommend a strong performance on bio 2 and the MCAT's biology section. Ideally, you'd take at least 1 or 2 upper division courses in bio where you also score well. Since many schools require or recommend taking biochemistry, I recommend taking that as 1 of your upper division courses. Genetics is another popular course, but it is rarely required by medical schools. 1 c in your record, especially freshman year, will not keep you from going to medical school.
