Hello,

I am currently a freshman studying biology. If everything goes as planned, I should finish the first two semesters with at least a 3.84 gpa. I have also shadowed several different types of cardiologists for around 75 hours, which I found to be really helpful and fun experiences.

What should I do this summer? I know that I need hospital volunteering (what should I specifically request?) And I am looking around for research opportunities, but I have no prior experience. Is there anything you guys would suggest that would be fun as well as helpful for an application?

Also, should I complete the prerequisite courses next year? I still need to take physics and organic chemistry. My plan is to take the mcat before junior year begins. And is it already time to worry about recommendation letters? Most of my classes have been large lectures, so I don't know any of the professors very well.

Thanks
