Hey everyone,
I just finished my freshman year at Texas A&M University last week, and I just received my final grades. I made an A in Biology 112 (lab and lecture), A in Chemistry 102 (lecture), B in chemistry 112 (lab), A in Theater 201, and a B in calculus 2.
My GPA for the semester was a 3.67, my overall GPA is a 3.33, and my sGPA is 3.42 (math included) and 3.88 (without math) (I wasn't sure if math is included in sGPA or not). I am really worried because I feel my overall GPA is not good enough to get into dental school, although I still have a few more years to enhance my grades. I did very well this semester compared to last semester, and I'm hoping to keep improving, but I feel discouraged because I put in a lot of hours in the library yet still didn't do as greatly as expected. I'll be attending SMDEP in a few weeks, so I'm hoping that that can help me get acquainted with courses such as O-chem and statistics before having to take them in the coming semesters. Anyone have any encouraging stories or advice to help boost my confidence?
