Just a guess, but I think they may have given away the spot to their last year's intern from USC.

I ended up finding out. The first year resident was on medical leave for part of his intern year, so he is repeating his first year. Thus, they are not taking a new resident. But an intern, they are still taking.

So they are not closing? I heard H & N trauma is pretty heavy. True? I am asking because that is where I will be doing my trauma and neurosurgery rotations.
