Greetings to everyone!

I have been reading threads quite frequently but I was not able to make myself a forum account. Now I have! 😀 So this will be my first post on SDN.

Anyway I'll type up a short story/progress.

Currently I am a senior that is about to graduate in about two semesters with a degree in Biology. I currently have a cGPA of 2.81 and a sGPA of 2.85. I cannot predict my final GPA until I graduate. After I graduate I plan to do post baccalaureate to help raise my GPA. I am thinking of retaking some of the Biology courses that I got C's in.

I am currently doing my extra curriculars right now so I am trying not to worry about that. As for taking the PCAT, I was thinking to doing it next year when I have more time to study for it.

Well this is pretty much my progress at the moment. My advance apologies if my thought process is a bit scrambled.

Friendly input would be appreciated. 😀

For the PCAT, when you say next year, when do you mean? Can you specify that part a little bit?

I assuming he/she want us to comment on their plan of attack??

I'm planning to study for the PCAT either in February/March or in the summer.

What are you asking?

I just wanted some comments on how I'm tackling this despite my low GPA at the moment. If you have any more ideas that would be awesome.🙂

At first I was kind of nervous posting something like this but now I feel fine. I'm kind of sad how I worded things wrong. It seems my logic is not up to par at the moment.😉

Considering you have been reading this forum, you should know what you need to do. Rock your last year and score well on the PCAT.👍

What type of pharmacy experience do you have? And what is the grade breakdown of your pre-reqs? Do you have them all done?

As of now I don't have pharmacy experience but I'm in the process of volunteering in a pharmacy at a local hospital. For my pre-reqs, I have most of them done except for a year of Anatomy & Physiology. I got mostly A's and B's with a couple C's on my pre-reqs.

Thank you!

Google is my best friend when I searched for a solution to deal with my challenge. Sometimes I found the general things to help me overcome my challenge but there's nothing wrong with getting more opinions from fellow pre-health students. 😀 I hope that made sense because I am not in my writing/replying mode right now.😉

Well, you have a good plan. If I were you, I would apply in 2011 (next cycle) and take the PCAT in June and/or August. You just need to make sure you keep your grades up and fit in some more ECs.

1. Do extremely well in your remaining course work.

2. Work in a pharmacy, as much as you can. If possible, work in a hospital pharmacy.

3. WAIT to take the PCAT until you're sure you will rock it.

4. Apply repeatedly until accepted. Keep working that GPA up and getting more pharmacy experience. Apply to a lot of schools. Don't give up.
