You will be an IMG ("international medical graduate") as you will graduate from a non-Canadian school.
CaRMS is clear in that for most provinces the first round at this time are a parallel match (IMG spots for IMGs and a separate for Canadian spots for Canadians) and that a few are competitive in the first round (a free for all competition between Canadians and IMGs for the same spots). http://carms.ca/eng/r1_provincial_e.shtml THe second round is a free for all competition with "less strict rules" - the previous pool from which IMGs could choose from (the scraps).
Many places make you do some type or form of return of service - the price you "pay for going abroad". Know this now before accepting abroad as it will make your "disgruntledness with the governments in about 5 years time" a little less agonizing. Things are changing, but at what speed is ever-always unknowing.
