1. I check my email for 2ndary invitations way too often

2. I don't get 2ndaries to schools I *am* interested in, I do get 2ndaries to 'safety' schools.

3. I re-check this board 3,000,000 times an hour to see if other people are getting 2ndaries to schools I want 2ndaries from

4. I refuse to read the stats of those that got in thread because it's depressing (is EVERYONE smarter than me??)

5. I refuse to read the thread about interviews as that also runs my nerves (is EVREYONE ahead of me!)

6. I am so agitated I even just went and read the TPR forums to occupy my mind for 5 secs. That at least relieved me about point #4 above - those guys can't possibly be smarter than me 😉

Ok...I'm going to go chill...lay off the coffee

7. and I post pointless threads that make me sound neurotic when I'm not - I've just had too much coffee and am bored

8. You get really excited when you see a post about being frustrated with secondaries because that's exactly how YOU feel.

decaf might be a good idea....maybe a little valium?? 😉

in all seriousness, though.....i just wanted to say that i feel ya. i think most people are in the same position and i'm glad you posted that because it's exactly how a lot of us feel.

9. you get really, really depressed when your email inbox/ snail mail box remain empty.

10. when you're at work (i.e., not working on secondaries), you think you're wasting your time.

ahhh... i understand the frustration, boy wonder. i'm doing my best to keep myself calm-- it's too early in this process to freak out!!

Just chill..... Schools have a lot of applications to sift through. They will get to yours in due course. The timing of when you get a secondary doesn't mean anything.

99.9% of the time I am so laid back you'de have to take my pulse to know I was alive - and I frequently laugh at the neurosis of premeds...but some days (today) I have one of those days when it's not even that I think I won't get a 2ndary to certain schools...it's just I want it NOW

I seriously think it may have something to do with the 3 grande starbucks I drank over lunch - but I'm not sure....

11. When you finally have the time to do a secondary, you get writer's block and can't get !@#$ done.

You mean you don't do secondaries while you're at work??? 😀
I was hoping other people would be as bad as I am.

Don't worry nero, I didn't submit AMCAS until early Oct. (then again, last year everyone was AMCAS-delayed, so schools were maybe more cool with it).

Ok, this is getting to much like those "you might be a redneck" jokes.

why must all these ghetto-ass med schools have different questions. couldn't they have had one application, and whatever other info they wanted to know just ask during interviews? what a waste

ummm...maybe the different schools are looking for different kinds of students? One would hope so...

Besides...which ones specifically are "ghetto-assed"...? 😉
